LAKE MEAD VISITOR CENTER
Explore desert wildlife and natural history exhibits at the Alan Bible Visitor
Center at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. "Discovering the Desert"
includes interactive, hands-on exhibits that invite visitors to discover the
Mojave Desert. Members of the Park staff are available to provide information,
books and maps, and other materials for sale. The visitor center is open from
8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New
Years Day. You do not have to pay the National Park fee to visit the Lake
Mead Visitor Center.

Driving directions from Las Vegas:

Take US 93 South toward Boulder City. Stay left when you see the signs to
Lake Mead/Hoover Dam and do not go through the Boulder City Scenic Drive
route. After approximately 1 mile you will see an exit to the left for the Lake
National Recreation Area. Shortly after you enter you will see the visitor
center on the right hand side.
