Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, known as Adele, is an English singer-songwriter celebrated for her mezzo-soprano vocals and deeply emotive songwriting. Born on May 5, 1988, in Tottenham, London, she emerged as one of the most influential performers of her generation.
Her journey began after graduating from the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in 2006 when she signed a record deal with XL Recordings. Adele’s debut album, “19”, released in 2008, showcased her talent with hits like “Chasing Pavements” and “Make You Feel My Love.” The album’s soulful sound and raw vulnerability resonated with audiences, earning her the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.
However, it was her second studio album, “21” (2011), that catapulted her to global superstardom. With chart-topping singles like “Rolling in the Deep,” “Someone Like You,” and “Set Fire to the Rain,” Adele’s powerful voice and heart-wrenching lyrics became iconic“21” remains one of the best-selling albums of all time, and its success garnered her six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
In 2012, Adele lent her voice to the James Bond film “Skyfall,” earning her an Academy Award for Best Original Song. Her third album, “25” (2015), continued the streak with the emotional ballad “Hello,” which achieved massive global success.
