Gone, but not forgotten, on December 6, 2023, the popular Streetmosphere entertainers at the Venetian gave their final performances and took their last bows. These costumed entertainers had been a fixture of unanticipated entertainment for over 20 years, adding joy and spirit to Saint Mark’s Square and the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Hotel & Casino. A variety of “streetmosphere” performing artists, such as opera singers, dancers, puppeteers, living statues, magicians, jugglers, and stilt walkers, dazzled and delighted the crowds with free performances throughout the day. Each 15-minute show immersed spectators in vivacious Italian culture without needing to leave the country. The shows were free and open to the public and took place every day of the year.
