The Las Vegas Arts District, in an 18-block section near Downtown Las Vegas, is the hub for all things local art, where you can browse through galleries, shop for one-of-a-kind goods, and dine in eclectic restaurants. There are artist studios and collaboratives, such as the Arts Factory and the 18b Arts District Studios that can visit to see the artists at work or even join some of their classes and workshops.

The neighborhood, located on the southwest side of downtown Vegas, is bordered by E. Commerce St., S. Hoover Ave., W. Gass Ave., and Colorado Ave “N” It is covered with large impressive murals and graffiti as far the eye can see through this industrial neighborhood.

First Friday Arts Festival:

One of the cornerstone events in the Arts District is the First Friday Arts Festival. This monthly event has been going on for a long time and turns the streets into an explosion of creative expression. Artists and vendors line the sidewalks, and live music and food trucks add to the lively environment. Artists who want to get involved should submit this online application.

The Arts District also hosts annual events such as Paint the Town and the Arts District Mural Tour.

Food and Drinks:

In The Arts District, you can enjoy a variety of restaurants, bars, cafes, breweries and often food trucks. You can enjoy Mexican, Cajun, Thai, and many other types of cuisine. Alternatively, sip on a craft beer or coffee or try some sweet treats.

Transportation and Parking:

The Arts District is located a mile from the Fremont Street Experience. You can get there by taking the free Downtown Loop shuttle, the Deuce bus, taxi, or rideshare. You can also walk or bike. Once you’re there, you can explore the area on foot or rent a bike or a scooter. Parking in the Arts District is ample, with multiple metered spaces and public parking lots.

Lodging:

The Arts District doesn’t have many hotels within its borders, but downtown hotels are close nearby. If you prefer a homey and more personalized stay, you can also choose bed and breakfasts or Airbnb options in the area.
